Japanese Bamboo Art
Scenography & Photography
Scope: Scenography, photography & publication
Location: Germany & Japan
Year: 2023
Client: NAEJ Foundation
Design concept
Scenography and photography for a publication about the most extensive private collection of Japanese Bamboo pieces.
An infinite number of perspectives and compositions are generated by a series of flexible, movable, and rotating walls that form the basis of the scenography. The walls present a concrete finish. The pedestals are made in different sizes and proportions to accommodate different-sized baskets. They have the same concrete finish as the walls. A background is created, which is divided into two parts: a floor and a backdrop, creating a clear horizon. This horizon contributes to creating a meditative and spiritual environment.
