Curated and designed by Cédric Van Parys, “Rumours” is a solo exhibition by Dutch artist Marc Oosting for the opening exhibition of CHAxARTxRTM in Rotterdam. Marc Oosting plays with duality, contrast, and superposition to question our understanding of identity, originality, and (re)production. Concepts that are inherent to our hyperconnected world, and which are still undergoing radical transformation. Worlds and words, materials and production methods, the digital and the tangible clash and unite within his work, which aims to examine the multiple possibilities of language and how it is consumed through text and symbols around the world. Working simultaneously in two and three-dimensionality, rumours often lurk in the darkness.
